HNClub - Entrepreneurs: bureaucracy increases constantly

Slovak entrepreneurs state that the bureaucracy increases each year. In addition, levy obligation and unstable legislation bothers not only small, but also large employers. This represents one of the conclusions of the discussion forum of the HNClub, which took place on May 11, 2010 in Bratislava with cooperation of Deloitte. Besides representatives of various companies and professional and interest associations, this meeting attended Igor Šulík, Managing Partner and Ivan Tomko, Consultant of the consultancy company Amrop Slovakia.

Amrop supported distribution of the movie Nedodržaný sľub

Consultancy company Amrop Slovakia decided, mainly for its high value and deep human message, to support the distribution of the Slovak actors film Nedodržaný sľub, which was introduced to the silver screens with success in April 2009 by the production company GENTA FILM. Employers, collaborators and guests of Amrop Slovakia watched this film reconstruction of this non typical, but true war story of Martin Friedmann-Petráš, Slovak Jew from the little town Bánovce nad Bebravou on a stand-alone projection of the theatre Astorka in Bratislava. After the projection, at the invitation of the chairman of JENEWEIN GROUP Martin Krekáč they were all participated on a dinner in the Cuban restaurant Malecón. This pleasant reunion was also a part of the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the brand Jenewein on the Slovak market, which will come to a head in autumn.

Slovak journalists visited the FIPRA office in Brussels

About twenty of representatives of selected Slovak media with primary orientation on the EU affairs and its policy have met in Brussels on May 4-6, 2010. The aim of this seminar with preplanned expert program was to introduce Brussels as the capital of the European Union and to demonstrate through practical processes the system of functioning of European institutions-European Parliament, European Commission and Council after the adoption of the Lisbon treaty. Besides their other activities, journalists met also Maroš Šefčovič, the vice president of the European Commission, Ivan Korčok, deputy of the SR in the EU, Slovak representatives in European Parliament and many other specialists. A part of the programme was the visit of the European Economic and Social Committee, where its members-advisors Martin Krekáč, chairman JENEWEIN GROUP, and Patrik Zoltvány, senior partner FIPRA Slovakia. The final part of the programme was a meeting held in consulting group FIPRA-Finsbury International Policy & Regulatory Advisers with the director of its European office Sebastian Vos, whose speech concerned mainly the work of the lobbyists.

Vaulting competition in Čierna Voda

A vaulting competition has taken place on May 2, 2010 in the riding club TJ Elán Čierna Voda. Equestrian vaulting means acrobatics and gymnastics performed on the horse at a canter, which has became one of the seven riding disciplines in 1983. The competition has been organized under the auspices of the chairman of the Bratislava self-governing region, Pavol Frešo. One part of an all-day program was also the competition Children vaulting. As equestrian vaulting is an ideal way of connecting the passion of children and youth for horses to the universal physical education, JENEWEIN GROUP, not only for the horse motive in its logo, but mainly according to the principles of social responsibility and determination to support the quality of living of the society as well as its own employees and other co-workers and their families, has become one of the partners of this event.

Improvement of business environment and labour market in Macedonia

In the framework of the initiative Transfer of good public strategies the EPPP Think Tank participates on the project of Improvement of Business Environment and Labour Market in Macedonia by Successful Know-how Transfer from Slovakia, who's implementing institution is the Business Alliance of Slovakia. The partner organization in Macedonia is Confederation of Employers of Republic of Macedonia (CERM). The goal of the project is to improve the business environment as a crucial element for the increased growth of economy and for poverty reduction. For over two years the project objectives will be implemented by the transfer of organizational know-how of Business Alliance of Slovakia and expert knowledge about specific reforms of business environment implemented in Slovakia. Mária Nádaždyová, Senior Programm Manager of EPPP actively participates in the implementation of the project mainly by designing and drafting of two thematic studies from labour market area.

Stop denial women rights!
The discussion seminar Stop denial women rights! took place on March 5, 2010 in the European Information Centre in Bratislava as a first out of eighteen events organized on the bases of common project of European Parliament Information Office in SR and JENEWEIN GROUP. Its aim was to evolve the professional discussion focused on current topics: the poverty threat, violence, trade with women etc. The seminar, where members of European Parliament Edit Bauer and Anna Záborská and representatives of the third sector Irena Belohorská, Mária Demeterová and Jana Šípošová appeared was attended by 45 participants and was moderated and professionally led by Mária Nádaždyová, senior program manager of think-tank EPPP.

Slovakia - Switzerland, similar, different - together successful

Aimed at fostering cooperation between Switzerland and Slovakia and between Swiss and Slovak companies, on February 12, 2010 the Swiss embassy organized a symposium Slovakia-Switzerland , similar, different-together successful in Bratislava. Individual presentations and subsequent discussions were dedicated to fundamental values necessary for sustainable business achievement. The organizer intended to create room for discussions on innovation, learning, social responsibility and utilization of waste as a resource of raw material and on their importance for further economic development. Patrik Zoltvány, co-founder and senior partner at a consulting company FIPRA Slovakia actively attended the workshop themed Social responsibility and learning, which was part of the programme.
