Slovak journalists visited the FIPRA office in Brussels
About twenty of representatives of selected Slovak media with primary orientation on the EU affairs and its policy have met in Brussels on May 4 - 6, 2010. The aim of this seminar with preplanned expert program was to introduce Brussels as the capital of the European Union and to demonstrate through practical processes the system of functioning of European institutions - European Parliament, European Commission and Council after the adoption of the Lisbon treaty. Besides their other activities, journalists met also Maroš Šefčovič, the vice president of the European Commission, Ivan Korčok, deputy of the SR in the EU, Slovak representatives in European Parliament and many other specialists. A part of the programme was the visit of the European Economic and Social Committee, where its members - advisors Martin Krekáč, chairman JENEWEIN GROUP, and Patrik Zoltvány, senior partner FIPRA Slovakia. The final part of the programme was a meeting held in consulting group FIPRA - Finsbury International Policy & Regulatory Advisers with the director of its European office Sebastian Vos, whose speech concerned mainly the work of the lobbyists.
