BLOG: John Mattone or why I slept badly at night
I admit that I have been thinking about this event for a long time... I hesitated for a few days whether I should participate in it, what I can expect from it and whether it is too much of a bite. We are talking about a training program led by John Mattone personally. If you don't know him, his introduction will be more than simple. John Mattone is one of the best leadership experts in the world.
Just the fact that John Mattone was a personal coach for Steve Jobs (Apple) and Roger Enric (PepsiCo) confirms that he is an absolute top in Intelligent Leadership area. In many of the world's media, words like "...John Mattone is one of the world's three best coaches with Tony Robbins and Marshall Goldsmith..." can be read about him.
I am such that I take everything so seriously, I read a lot and analyze everything. I also consistently consider where and how I spend my time. I’m not delaying anymore, so I admit that after considering all the pros and cons, I attended the meeting with John Mattone. And a deep uff!!! is what’s followed then. Of course, it’s not able share all thoughts with you, however much I wish to. Yet here are some examples for illustration. Mattone beautifully described one story with Steve Jobs. Not only to his people in Cupertine, but Jobs was actively explaining one of his amazing ideas to his personal coach too. "We have a success not thanks to our computer, but thanks to our customers." This sentence, which was heard several times during the Prague seminar, is very simple and very strong at the same time. I have John's words forever in my mind: "The key to success in leadership is to open your heart to the people around you." It was interesting when he was saying and explaining his point of view at the essence of all about leadership: "Think uncompromisingly and on a large scale." However, the explanation of the four basic points to achieve a lasting size and the creation of a permanent reference, that he called 4 game-changing or 4 A's: Altruism, Affiliation, Achievement and Abundance, was the most resonant to me.
The seminar in Prague, and by the way, it was his first appearance in Central Europe at all, was more than great. John Mattone and his words hit me deeply and I went home with my head full of thoughts. It caught my attention so much that I slept badly all night, some of his words and passages he spoke were swirling in my head constantly. Each word was coming right from his soul and incredibly rich experience. He spoke simply and complexly at the same time. I highly recommend reading one of his books or watching a few short videos on YouTube for those that are interested in this range of topics. My rating: a performance that took place at the end of April in Prague was a great experience. After personal experience I declare honestly that John Mattone is really a world class!
