JENEWEIN GALLERY: Woman of the Year I Bratislava Leaders Magazine

In the Woman of the Year (Žena roka) project, which launched several initiatives in 2007 and 2008, appreciating and making women's careers more visible, several areas were combined together, including business and art. We are still very proud of it, so this project rightfully deserves a place in our Jenewein gallery. Its goal was to attract attention and express public recognition to women with significant work and family achievements. The announcer and organizer of the competition was Bratislava Leaders Magazine. It was an original activity that followed a similar social event in the Czech Republic, where Prague Leaders Magazine stood in the background. Fifteen nominated women in five categories plus a special category Woman of the 21st century formed the main framework of the event, which was also broadcast by the public Slovak television. Andrea Cocherová, Oľga Gyarfášová, Iveta Chlebáková, Elena Kohútiková, Milena Koreňová, Alexandra Novotná Rozborilová, Iveta Radičová, Zuzana Sternová, Silvia Šarköziová and Ľubica Vargicová became the winners of individual categories in two editions. Women of the 21st century became Eva Blahová, Marika Gombitová and Eva Siracká. Celebrities such as Silvia Gašparovičová, Jiří Paroubek, Eduard Kukan, Soňa Müllerová, Jan Rosák, Martin Nikodym, Monika Absolonová, Bára Basiková, Andrea Zimányiová and many, many others took part in the gala dinner entitled Women who move history. In addition to the prestigious award, the winners took home a wooden statuette of a Woman on a Pedestal, the author of which is the artistic carver Vladimír Morávek. The consulting group Jenewein Group participated in the creation of the concept and the final form of the project. Martin Krekáč headed the jury (its members were, for example, the publisher of Prague Leaders Magazine Benke Aikell, the publisher of Bratislava Leaders Magazine Hana Juřenová, opera singer Jaroslav Dvorský, CEO of American Express for Slovakia and the Czech Republic Michael Fabián, CEO of the Stock Exchange Mária Hurajová, owner of the magazine Slovenka Mária Reháková, MP Magdaléna Vášáryová and fashion designer Jana Berg). Fipra Slovakia was one of the main partners. We achieved the support and participation of other successful companies and personalities and the interest of the media thanks to our experience in the field of Art Consulting. The author of the scenario and the director of the evening was the director and documentarian Yvonne Vavrová. The visual form and presentation of the event was worked on by the studio Ante Meridiem (AM/PM Communication Group), with whom we were connected through our colleague Milan Šemelák.
