JENEWEIN GALLERY: Uni2010 & Start up! I J. Kováč
With this exhibit from our Jenewein gallery, artistic value is not the main criterion. However, it is an important project that started many meaningful activities and successful careers. In 2006, the consulting group Jenewein Group became a professional partner of Uni2010 – an independent and non-profit organization with the original goal of inventing and testing the model of a modern university. Later, it developed various initiatives through which it wanted to help university students discover their own talents and support them in building a personal vision and finding employment on the labor market. Uni2010 was founded by Juraj Kováč, at that time a student at the Faculty of Economics of the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. We gradually provided the background and professional advice to several interconnected initiatives – Professions 2010 – 2020, The best idea, Business Incubator, Business Academy or Modern University. This was followed by the project Start up! (Rozbehni sa!), within which a community of so-called start-uppers – creators was created on social networks. In addition to mutual support and help for all those who are "starting something, want to start it or are getting started", a series of interactive lectures by successful entrepreneurs took place all over Slovakia under the banner of BestGuest. Martin Krekáč, chairman of Jenewein Group, was one of the guests on April 14, 2011 at the University of Economics in Bratislava. The title of his lecture was: How strong is your will to prove something?. At the end of this guided tour, two interesting points: Entrepreneur Andrej Kiska, who became the President of the Slovak Republic three years later, gave a lecture in tandem with Martin Krekáč. And secondly: the Start up! project is active to this day, that means it has been inspiring and motivating for over 13 years!
