How to manage my headquarter?

The consulting company Amrop Slovakia in cooperation with Slovak-Austrian, Slovak-Swiss, Dutch and Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia organized a collaborative Business Breakfast on theme How to manage my headquarter?. This event was primarily focused on owners, top managers and HR managers and was held on March 25, 2014 in Bratislava. The main guest was Andreas Philippitsch, Partner & Head of Leadership Services of Austrian company Amrop Jenewein. The incentive for the discussion was beside the main speech presentation of personal experience with the management on the level of headquarter and of local branch. These presentations were conducted by Pavol Varga, General Manager of Dell Austria & Slovakia, Peter Prónay, ex-CEO of Atos IT Solutions and Services, Martin Saitz, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor Slovakia and Igor Šulík, Managing Partner of Amrop Slovakia.

Coffee Time with Amrop

13.3.2014

The consulting company Amrop Slovakia continues to organize expert meeting discussions of a series Coffee time with Amrop also in 2014 after several successful rounds on various topics. This time, invited guests-members of the boards and senior management, CEOs, HR managers and entrepreneurs were given an opportunity to experience coaching firsthand and to discuss among themselves with the professionals from Amrop Slovakia on the given theme Kouč nie je gauč (Couch is not a couch) while enjoying a cup of coffee. Choosing this particular topic is closely related to strengthening of the services in the field of Executive Coaching where Amrop as one of the very few in Slovakia which uses the latest neuroscience knowledge and builds on the groundbreaking findings on how the human brain can affect the performance of managers and leaders. In addition to this advantage, Amrop created a unique team of nine certified coaches on the Slovak market. Four of them-Eva Uhríková, Dalibor Bednařík, Boris Dobiš and Ján Dubnička, were the guests and the main speakers of this successful meeting that took place in Bratislava on February 11, where they introduced an interactive form of coaching, silent coaching, what coaching is and what is not, whether managers are ready for coaching or the difference between coaching, mentoring and counseling. The second meeting took place in Košice on March 12, and its partner was U. S. Steel. Amrop supports the activities of Liga proti rakovine (League against Cancer) by both of these events. Thanks to these partnerships the participants could meet the executive director Eva Kováčová.

"Item” under the PM Mark

Project Management Institute (PMI)-the world's largest nonprofit organization for project management represented in more than 185 countries, carries out many activities in Slovakia. The mission of the professional association of PMI Slovakia is the promotion and development of project management, which belongs to one of the fastest developing industries with significant impact on the whole society. A significant part of the regular activities of PMI are regular meetings of project managers, people working in project management and other people interested in project management. The meeting held under the name "Item” under the PM Mark on February 20, 2014 was hosted by the chief guest Igor Šulík, Managing Partner at Amrop Slovakia together with Michal Lukáč, Manager, who kicked off by a presentation on the current situation in the market of project managers and consequently provoked an inspirational and lively discussion.

HNClub: Future of family business in Slovakia

What are the specificities of family business? What problems are these entrepreneurs facing, who should have the final word in the business and what are the advantages and disadvantages of family business? The guests were dealing with these and many other questions concerning the topic Future of family business in Slovakia that took place on February 11, 2014 as a regular HNClub meeting. Family business in Slovakia is according to several surveys often forced to close down since there is no one to succeed, so the question of succession and replacement of generations was another important issue. Mario Fondati, partner at Amrop Slovakia, was an active participant on this event as he is dedicated to the issue of the meeting within the working group Family Business. This theme is specifically developed by Amrop in long-term cooperation with EPPP Think Tank.

Annual EMEA conference of Amrop

27.1.2014

Just like the previous year, almost a hundred of Amrop professionals met at the annual EMEA conference in Germany, Tegernsee near Munich from January 22 to 24, 2014. The meeting started by evaluating the previous period and by presenting the plan for joint activities for the upcoming months. The deduction of the current state of implementations of the strategic program Amrop 2020 seemed to be more than favorable-a continuous increase in the Amrop's revenues last year confirmed the viability of the strategic direction setting which determines the basic barriers for all member companies. Amrop Executive Board Chairman Ulrich Dade reported an increase in the number and quality of member companies operating under a common brand Amrop and strengthening of new partners in the U. S. A., Germany, Norway and other strategic countries. In accordance with the ambition to ensure sustainable growth and continuous improvement, sharing of best practices and experience was included in the program to serve as an inspiration to execute the counseling and other activities for members in their respective territories. Amrop, a consulting network with a leading position in the field of leadership improves services in the area of Leadership Assessment besides the meetings with employment and sectorial groups by introducing a unique method and procedures in the unified form.
