Woman of the Year

FIPRA Slovakia has become a main partner of prestigious event Woman of the Year, which was organized under the auspices of the first lady of Slovak Republic, Ms. Silvia Gašparovičová. The organizer has set five categories: Business, Media and Communication, Policy and Public Administration, Art and Science & Research. Contest is designed for women, which succeeded in harmonizing professional success and personal life. Women, the winners of individual categories, including the winner of the special category The Woman of the 21st Century, were selected by specialized jury with its chairman (2006) and vice-chairman (2007) Martin Krekáč, president of Business Alliance of Slovakia and chairman of JENEWEIN GROUP.

Promoting visibility of European Parliament in SR

One of the main tasks of European Parliament Information Office in SR is to make the European Parliament activities visible. JENEWEIN GROUP, on the basis of common project, participates on fulfilment of this task. The cooperation includes eighteen events (seminars, workshops, press conferences in Slovakia and Brussels). Besides fulfilment the organizational role by its own project team JENEWEIN GROUP also contributes with specialized topics, participation of its own experts and using its own know-how and network.

Evuluation of Self-Governing Measures

EPPP Think Tank became a partner of the project Evaluation of Self-governing Measures, which is created by Center for Economic Development (CPHR) in co-operation with Slovak Association of Towns and Cities (ZMOS). The project evaluates the important measures affecting the quality of life of citizens in Slovakia. Mária Nádaždyová, senior program manager EPPP, has become a member of evaluation committee on the basis of invitation from CPHR.

Survey highlights need to nurture top talents

This reflects estimation of almost half of Amrop survey’s respondents within CEE and/or CIS region. Simplified levy system: 25-10-3

The levy system is in the surveys regularly described as one of the biggest barriers to business. The Business Alliance of Slovakia is devoted to this issue for a long time and due to the current state of economic crisis that affected the evolution of public finances and the repeated rejection of proposals for levy relief by the government, The Business Alliance of Slovakia come forward with a proposal which is the first step of reforming contribution scheme, which involves a massive simplification of the system of calculation and payment of levies.

Worst conditions in Slovakia to set up a business are in Gelnica

Entrepreneurs and chief executives judged business conditions in Slovakia to be negative. Slovak journalists visited the FIPRA office in Brussels

About twenty of representatives of Slovak media with primary orientation on the EU affairs have met in Brussels.
