HN Club – economic newspaper club

HNClub´s discussion forum of representatives from industry, finance, trade, science and public life creates space for application of individual thinking and proceeding of its members. It is intensified with collective operation. Forum action is directly joined with actual problems and is aimed at future. It deals with issues of quality of political relations as well as economic, science and power application issues whereby it contributes to shaping of Slovak economical strategy. Within HNClub, which has gained authority and respect at home and abroad, multiple meetings took place with prominent foreign and domestic personalities. In May, 2006 Slovak Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda was the guest of HNClub who gave a speech Measures for improving of business environment – what did or did not succeed. We were one of the partner this prestigous event.

Ecopress, a. s., publishing house organized on October 23, 2008 in congress hall of Bratislava’s hotel SAS Carlton another HNClub. Its main theme was American vs. European lobbing – which model for Slovakia? Event partner was Fipra Slovakia consultancy group and two of the speakers were Ambassador Rastislav Káčer and Patrik Zoltvány, Fipra Slovakia co-founder and senior partner and member – advisor of the European Economic and Social Committee.

What are the specificities of family business? What problems are these entrepreneurs facing, who should have the final word in the business and what are the advantages and disadvantages of family business? The guests were dealing with these and many other questions concerning the topic Future of family business in Slovakia that took place on February 11, 2014 as a regular HNClub meeting. Family business in Slovakia is according to several surveys often forced to close down since there is no one to succeed, so the question of succession and replacement of generations was another important issue.
