Economy: Martin Krekáč elected as new president of Business Alliance of Slovakia (PAS)
Existing President of Business Alliance of Slovakia Mr. Ivan Štefanec was on annual Policy Board Meeting awarded with the appointment as Honorary President.
BRATISLAVA 6th of October (SITA) - On Thursday, Martin Krekáč, Co-founder & Chairman of consulting group Amrop Jenewein Group was appointed as New President of Business Alliance of Slovakia (PAS). He succeeded existing President of Business Alliance Ivan Štefanec, who was on annual Policy Board Meeting awarded with the appointment as Honorary President as a result of his past activity. General Director of I.P.R. Slovakia Mr. Ladislav Mikuš was appointed as Vice-President.
Besides new personnel appointments the agenda of the Policy Board and Gremium of Business Alliance of Slovakia also included the evaluation of PAS activities since last annual meeting. Alliance’s finished projects focused on the improvement of the judicial system and enforceability of law in Slovak Republic, as well as monitoring of property tax value changes in selected cities and regions in Slovakia. The current projects include the monitoring of business conditions in Regions of Slovak Republic and Business environment audit conducted in cooperation with Slovak Employers Association (RUZ). Next year plans Alliance to join into monitoring of legislative changes related to the business environment through project Business Lighthouse. The Project of Slovak EU Membership Impact Assessment is planned in next year.
The Business Alliance of Slovakia is dedicated to the improvement of the business environment in Slovakia as that is an imperative for boosting economic activities and the growth of prosperity of the citizens of the country - a Permanent Conference of the Centre for Economic Development (CED) on Business Environment Improvement is a joint project of the profit and non-profit sectors. Its founder is the Centre for Economic Development in cooperation with the Institute for Economic Social Reforms (INEKO). It groups selected companies operating throughout Slovakia, that have 64 thousand employees and revenues exceeding SKK 367 billion.
