Festival of Light

25.9.2016

We inspire, educate and connect together in a global scope – this is the motto of the Festival of Light, held on September 22 to 24, 2016 in Bratislava. That idea was the reason why Jenewein Group became one of its partners. The project brought together science and art while promoting young talent. The ambition of the organizers is to create a sustainable format of event aimed at the general public and young people and combining advanced technology, contemporary art and modern scientific and technological solutions with high added value. An integral part of the festival was this year to commemorate the history of Bratislava with hidden connections and points of interest. Lighting and interactive installations were lit every night after dark, at or on the important buildings and objects coming from the distant past and recent history. Festival of Lights is closely linked with international projects FP7 GoPhoton! and H2020 Photonics4all designed to introduce and popularize photonics as a new and rapidly developing area of industry and research. These projects took place in many EU countries with events where the professional and lay public had the opportunity to meet with top scientists, researchers and artists. These events helped to get to know new fascinating applications where light plays a major role.

Corporates for children. THANK YOU! – this year a part of the European Week of Sport

12.9.2016

We ran again to help for children on Sunday, September 11, 2016. Amrop Slovakia was actively supporting one of Children's Safety Line’s main events – the run 21 km for children. Already for the seventh time we were uniting our partners, clients and general public for a good cause with the common logo Corporates for children. THANK YOU!. Event took place in Partizánska lúka in Bratislava. The main run was a half-marathon and there was also a length of 7 km and 3 km. The fourth category was a family-run suitable for parents and children. Almost two hundred runners were encouraged with colleagues, friends and family members. With Jenewein Alumni support we reached the fourth place in the corporate teams’ competition, which Amrop donated the grand prize to. Our team has been successful in the female category too, at the 7 km long track and also in the junior competition at the same track – we won the first place in both. This year was the number of runners in family-run higher again and the novelty was that Brigitte Arhold, COO of Amrop Partnership, supported Children's Safety Line and track 7 km long was running in Berlin. We believe that there will be more runners outside Bratislava next autumn. THANK YOU! became a part of the European Week of Sport announced by the European Commission. The annual European Week of Sport is designed to encourage a healthier lifestyle through physical activity. Focusing on grassroots initiatives, it showcases opportunities for all – regardless of age, background or fitness level.
