AMROP HEVER at La Clusaz

17.9.2007

In mid-September a working meeting of Executive Search professionals from Central and Eastern Europe region that are part of The Amrop Hever Group (TAHG) took place in a tourist region of La Clusaz in French Alps. The main goal of the four-day meeting, had been attended this time not only by Partners but also by consultants and researchers, was to strengthen team cooperation within one of the most dynamically growing regions in the whole network. "Within TAHG we organize this type of meetings aimed to improve processes and cooperation in order to serve our clients even better. At the same time we have been discussing also specific plans-such as CEE region serving as a basis for expending TAHG's activities to Balkans,” said Igor Šulík, Managing Partner of AMROP HEVER Slovakia just after he and his team returned from under Mont Blanc. From the event that included adrenaline teambuilding activities (trekking tour, night bivouacking, cliff rappelling, paragliding and rope tree course) and accompanying program besides inspiring experiences I. Šulík has also new working responsibilities-as a leader of one of the seven working groups he will be in the nearby future working on innovations and further improvement of TAHG processes.

Lifelong learning - Learning regions

„Live as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever.” Quote of Mahatma Gandhi carries a legacy, that we may apply nowadays for the importance and need of life-long learning. For the purpose of this issue Ministry of Education of the SR organized work meeting of partners called Learning regions, which took place on September 6th, 2007 in Educational and conference centre SÚZA on Drotárska Street 46 in Bratislava. Meeting's intention was to exchange practical information and practices in the area of creating networks of interested participants for the development of life-long learning. Goal was to make a space for presentation of pilot projects, to provide information about running projects and allow to obtain new business contacts to create space for informal meetings. Marek Mitošinka, Senior Consultant of the consultancy group AJG-Amrop Jenewein Group gave a speech on the topic titled Process of creating the Learning regions strategies and its task in programming period 2007-2013.

Evening garden party of Storming of the Bastille

French-Slovak chamber of commerce arranged an evening garden party on occasion of the 218th anniversary of Storming of the Bastille. It took place in July 13th, 2007 in the historical area of Water Tower in Bratislava under the auspices of ambassador of the French Republic in the Slovak Republic. Social event, which was to gather some tens of prominent guests and to offer them dance and music performances by French groups of art, was supported-along with other partners-also by the AMROP HEVER Slovakia.

Independence Day Celebration

American chamber of commerce in Slovakia (AmCham) arranged this year's 13th Annual Independence Day Celebration. About 800 guests attended the action that was held at June 30th, 2007 in area of Bratislava Castle in coulisses of authentic town of Wild West with unique atmosphere. Evening programme was in traditional American style, varied by music and dance performances, ceremonial march, attractive and funny games for children and closing fireworks. AMROP HEVER Slovakia was one of the general sponsors of Independence Day Celebration, which had been attended not only by AmCham members, but also by significant representatives of political, economical and social life.

Effective HR Management

Monitoring of Performance Management performance and installation belong to difficult tasks of successful personal work. Related topics were the main areas of conference Effective HR Management, which Institute for International Research arranged in July 25th and 26th, 2007. Part of program in the second day of conference was workshop on topic Coaching: What are you interested in?. It had been led by Igor Šulík, Managing Partner of personal consultancy AMROP HEVER Slovakia. Besides other tasks, he devoted to questions of coaching within education of management, related expectations, decisions, contributions, potential problems, forms of cooperation coach-coached, etc. Igor Šulík is one of the leaders in yielding service Board Coaching, which by means of progress of individual helps to general strengthens of working and to bigger effects not only coached manager, but also the whole organization.

The company Jenewein & Partners has changed its name to AMROP HEVER Slovakia - Global Executive Search. As a member of The Amrop Hever Group it has grown into a strategic global office and thereby the original name was no longer apt enough, considering the international context in which the company operates. Owing to Slovakia's vast economic growth in the latest years and to the initiative, openness and courageous entrepreneurial plans Jenewein & Partners has become a leader within the CEE region. AMROP HEVER Slovakia in Krpáčovo

Two-day event held as a part of internal Professional Practice Academy on June 14 and 15, 2007 in Hotel Polianka in Low Tatras was filled with wide-range programme. Firstly, it was workshop aimed at development of communication skills. Practically orientated training was led by Veronika Vlčková from Slovak Debate Association. Effort to improve debate lead and master abilities was also connected with current renaming of company JENEWEIN & PARTNERS to AMROP HEVER Slovakia and with optimal way of presentation of this change. Evening was dedicated to informal gathering joined with grilling in attendance of other advisory teams of advisory group invitated by AMROP HEVER Slovakia company. Familiarization with instructors of Quinta Essentia company and preparation for teambuilding training was part of evening programme. The second day was dedicated to activities aimed at development of cooperation in randomly selected teams as a basic element of successful finding common solutions. In conclusion, the participants did managed the second-year Beach Volley Cup 2007 over challenge trophy Chairmen Martin's Challenge Cup.

On 12 June, 2007 the Slovak rector´s conference in cooperation with other partners and thanks to sponsorship of the Ministry of Education in SR organized seminar of Education at Technical Universities in Pálffy Palace at Zámocká street in Bratislava. One of the speakers was also Juraj Studeník, Head of EU Representation of the Business Alliance of Slovakia in Brussels and Chief Business Officer of advisory group AJG-Amrop Jenewein Group. Subject of his turn was mid-sector mobility.

Preparation for the introduction of Euro in Slovakia

The Business Alliance of Slovakia (PAS), in cooperation with economic and independent business association SME-Union Slovakia, was organising a seminar entitled Preparation for the introduction of Euro in Slovakia. One-day event was to take place on 13th June 2007 in Pálffy Palace in the Zámocká street in Bratislava. The program was opened by Milan Gaľa, member of European Parliament. Marek Mitošinka, Senior Consultant of the consultancy group of AJG-Amrop Jenewein Group was to perform as one of other five speakers, specifically, on the topic titled Need for SME and self-government preparation for the Euro introduction. Organisation of this event was supported by the EPP-ED party, Slovenská sporiteľňa, a.s. along with consultancy group AJG-Amrop Jenewein Group.

US-Slovak Higher Education Forum

6.6.2007

The Embassy of the USA and Fullbright Commission together with University Library organised an event of US-Slovak Higher Education Forum, having taken place on June 6, 2007 in Bratislava. The prime topic of event was a question of exchange and co-operation among Slovak and US universities. Patrik Zoltvány, Partner of consultancy group of AJG-Amrop Jenewein Group was one of the participants of panel discussion guided by the main guest from USA-Paul Zukowski from IC2 Institute at the University of Texas. Within this point of agenda, the participants talked particularly on how Slovak universities could carry out various projects in the partnership with the private sector. Discussions illustrated more case studies of so-called public-private partnership in the field of university education from Slovakia, Poland and USA.
