HR for children. THANK YOU!

14.9.2011

Following a long-term partnership with Children's safety line, a part of Slovak UNICEF Committee, consulting company Amrop Slovakia-member of Jenewein Group, supports actively a charitable 21 km run for children. Besides that Amrop prepares an own run-team for each year and collaborates also on the organization and propagation of the undertaking. Amrop will assures by volunteer work a fluent pass of the contest on the day D and, moreover, it committed to address a large "human resources community" and connect the most of active entrants from particular companies. Thanks to that, the help for children in need is more accentuated because all money acquired by volunteer fundraisers from start dues and fees is given to Children's safety line. The third year of this funny and competitive undertaking took place on September 11, 2011 in an amphitheatre on Partizánska lúka in Bratislava. Each entrant could choose the running track according to his skills-21 km, 7 km, 3 km or a Family run for parents with children. The final collected sum for year 2011 was more than 10 000 EUR! Find a job with HN

The daily Hospodárske noviny in a successful project Find a job with HN every week publish stories of candidates-fresh graduates-for a vacant position, their CV, picture, evaluation and their potential career path in year 2011 too. Members of the commission, which assess prerequisites and chances of success on the labour market in a simulated interview, became also experts of the consulting company Amrop Slovakia. A special edition of the series was in July prepared at the summer festival Bažant Pohoda. In the tent of Hospodárske noviny the candidates, under the headline You can find a job at Pohoda. With HN had the opportunity to go through a job interview with labor market specialists, to consult in what sectors to look for opportunities and also what salary to ask for. At the extremely successful event that led to an enthusiastic audience interest, Amrop was represented by Michal Lukáč, Consultant.

Annual conference of The Amrop Group

The annual general assembly and world conference of The Amrop Group, traditional platform for strengthening of mutual cooperation and exchange of ideas within the global network of companies from 55 countries of the world, was held on June 25-28, 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey and was attended by 135 Partners from individual member companies. Since the main theme was Amrop 2020, the discussions were focused on formulating long-term strategy of Amrop in changing environment of the Executive Search industry. Amrop Slovakia was represented by Igor Šulík, Managing Partner who also took active part in regional and sector practice group sessions. The general assembly among other issues also elected new members of Board-Sabine von Anhalt (Germany), Preety Kumar (India) and Svein Ruud (Sweden) who joined the other members on the Board. The conference was concluded by a Gala Dinner where the annual Amrop Awards were presented-Anthony Saxton Award for 2010 was presented to Günther Tengel, Managing Partner of Amrop Jenewein (Austria).

Rastislav Káčer achieved a significant post for Slovakia

President of the Slovak Atlantic Commission, the Slovak Ambassador to the USA (Ret.) and the Chairman of the consulting company FIPRA Slovakia Rastislav Káčer was unanimously elected the Vice-President of the Association at the General Assembly of the Atlantic Treaty Association in Brussels on May 20, 2011. The Atlantic Treaty Association is a prestigious international NGO, which has been bringing together organizations from member countries of NATO and its partners for more than fifty years. The aim of the association is to motivate political leaders, academics and diplomats to discuss and promote the values that the North Atlantic Alliance professes. One day before the successful completion of the nomination Rastislav Káčer hosted a lecture by the NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen in Bratislava, organized by the Slovak Atlantic Commission together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak republic and the Public Diplomacy Division of NATO.

Development of regions of Slovakia in the context of EU cohesion policy

Consulting company Jenewein Slovakia, member of JENEWEIN GROUP, being active in the area of European consulting using its own project team organized a conference Development of regions of Slovakia in the context of EU cohesion policy. The main organizer of the conference, held on May 24, 2011 in Falkensteiner hotel in Bratislava, was the Ministry of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications of Slovakia as a Central coordinating body for management and implementation of structural funds. Under the headline Investment to your future spoke not only representatives of the Slovak government and parliament, but also representatives of European Parliament and European Commission and other professionals.

Vaulting competition in Čierna Voda

A vaulting competition has taken place on May 7, 2011 in the riding club TJ Elán Čierna Voda. Equestrian vaulting means acrobatics and gymnastics performed on the horse at a canter, which has became one of the seven riding disciplines in 1983. The competition has been organized under the auspices of the chairman of the Bratislava self-governing region, Pavol Frešo. One part of an all-day program was also the competition Children vaulting. As equestrian vaulting is an ideal way of connecting the passion of children and youth for horses to the universal physical education, JENEWEIN GROUP, not only for the horse motive in its logo, but mainly according to the principles of social responsibility and determination to support the quality of living of the society as well as its own employees and other co-workers and their families, has become one of the partners of this event.

Amrop for the OZ Človek v ohrození

Consulting company Amrop Slovakia, member of JENEWEIN GROUP, successfully carried out the project Assessment of Human Resources Strategy of the Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation section of the NGO named Človek v ohrození (People in Peril). The main goal, considering directness and effective use of the resources, was to analyze existing system of human resources management and suggest recommendations for achieving more professional, modern and effective management processes. The main areas the project focused on were processes of recruitment, selection and assessment, training and development, competencies assessment, drivers of motivation and management of a database. This activity of Amrop Slovakia represents its dedication to support the third sector which cultivates the values of the society such as helping others, charity, solidarity and philanthropy. The project was delivered thanks to long-term expertise in the area of Human Resources Management gained through cooperation with clients from various sectors as well as through delivering a number of Management Consulting projects and thanks to inspirations by HR best practice projects from the commercial sector and benchmarking OZ Človek v ohrození against the market.

 


Open labor markets of Germany and Austria

Ivan Štefanec, Member of the Slovak parliament and Chairman of the European Affairs Committee, held on March 31, 2011 in Bratislava a press conference on the topic Opening labor markets of Germany and Austria to new EU member countries. Since the main theme was about the chances of Slovak experts and entrepreneurs to find a job on the labor market in Germany or Austria, Martin Krekáč, President of the Business Alliance of Slovakia and Chairman of JENEWEIN GROUP was a guest speaker at the press conference. Amongst many other issues, he also commented on the fact that opening labor market means not only more opportunities for the employees, but also higher competition amongst employers. From the long-terms perspective this is a positive step, which can result in lowering unemployment in Slovakia and can help to achieve more quickly the goals of Strategy Europe 2020 beneficial to the whole Union.

The new technology in HD quality and the videoconferencing equipment were used by the companies Soitron and GTS during the organization of eight weeks cycle Speech & Brunch. It is based on one hour online meeting with a guest, a successful person in his area of business who through tele-conference communicates with businessmen outside of Bratislava. This is the main purpose of the activity-to organize a meeting with successful leaders that are not so easily accessible to people outside of the capital city. One of the guests of these inspiring-motivational sessions Speech & Brunch was Martin Krekáč, Chairman of JENEWEIN GROUP who on March 29, 2011 remotely had a discussion over breakfast with businessmen from Žilina region. The main theme of the discussion was Headhunting/Executive Search and overall human capital issues...
